  • Why potato?
    Everyone needs potato in their life. Just like every business needs sales and marketing - it's a staple. You can keep things as simple as a boiled spud, make it as fancy as Dauphinoise or something in between. We will work together to find the perfect approach for your tourism business. Potato also has a very personal meaning to me. Ask me and I will share!
  • Why us?
    We work on your business, rather than in it. With the benefit of being one removed from the day-to-day operations of your business, the focus is on promoting you to your targets, finding new opportunities to sell your product and generating more revenue.
  • Where are your services based?
    Our office is based in Sydney, NSW and we work with clients all around the country and NZ.
  • How much do your services cost?
    The initial onboarding call with you is free; the intention being to learn about your business, set goals and identify areas where we can add value. From that point, we would discuss hourly or project rates with you, which depend on the type of work required and expected timeline. Rates for consultancy range between $100 - $220 per hour + GST; an investment that I am confident you will see immediate return on.
  • Why hire a consultant?
    A consultant can be a cost-effective option to build a strong sales and marketing foundation and provide a forward plan for your business. An experienced consultant (like me!) will hit the ground running to produce results, help up-skill your team and focus primarily on the agreed areas for growth. We are accountable for the delivery of the agreed project and can be an valuable tool to build a solid groundwork for new business - through partnerships, lead generation and new distribution channels.
  • Are you working with my competitor business next door as well?
    I would consider that to be a conflict of interest. You can be assured that I am careful not to engage in consultancy for similar properties or local competitors at the same time. Your business is my focus.
  • When can we begin working together?
    In most cases, we can start working together immediately. Once we have established your requirements during the complimentary onboarding call, we can get to work straight away! This call can be scheduled by contacting me.
  • We've never done any sales and marketing. What can you do?
    No matter where your business is in the sales and marketing journey, you will benefit from industry knowledge and a tonne of experience. Together we can develop a realistic and actionable strategy to ensure you are heading in the right direction. You can either implement the strategy yourself or engage Potato Consulting to make it happen.
  • How involved do I need to be?
    As involved or removed as you wish to be. Initially, we will be asking you a lot of questions about your business so that we can hit the ground running. Following that, we will discuss a suitable method and frequency of communication so that you know what to expect from us.
  • What if I want to learn from you, so that I can do things myself?
    That's perfectly fine! We work with some clients who would like to learn about sales and marketing, particularly social media. One of the things I am most passionate about is sharing my knowledge and skills, so that you can manage it yourself if you choose to.
  • I want proof that you are as awesome as you say you are
    I'd expect nothing less. Please reach out, I'd be happy to place you in touch with a past or current client about how I impacted their business.
  • What if it doesn't work out?
    In the unlikely event that you'd like to move on from our services, I ask for 30 days notice to allow for a smooth handover. You are not locked into any lengthy minimum contracts for our services. Generally though, we will know if we are a good fit following our initial complimentary chat.
